A small, free companion app. It carries auto-zoom and cursor focus across every app, IDEs, terminals, design tools, not only the browser tab. The extension works fine without it.
Four steps, one permission.
Download and open
Open DemoLensHost.dmg and drag DemoLensHost into your Applications folder.
Launch it once
Open DemoLensHost from Applications. It registers itself with Chrome and opens the permission pane. If macOS asks, confirm you want to open it.
Allow Input Monitoring
In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring, switch on DemoLensHost. That is what lets it follow your cursor across apps; it never records keystrokes.
Restart Chrome
Quit and reopen Chrome so the extension connects. Your next recording zooms across the whole screen, not just the browser tab.
What runs where.
The extension runs on any desktop Chrome. The Desktop Helper is a native binary, so it is built per CPU. Without it you still get recording, triple-click zoom inside Chrome tabs, the editor and export — it only adds zoom outside the browser.
